Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence Consultant’s role is to strategically design and implement BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses. This includes selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users. The Business Intelligence Consultant is also responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing. The BI Consultant will interact regularly with many people in the client’s organization, including executives and C-level officers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work within project teams to develop business intelligence applications for LiveLogic’s clients
• Interact with clients to establish applications and systems requirements for assigned projects
• Create design specifications using current and/or client-required techniques and tools
• Provide appropriate documentation in program code and user/training guides
• Work with clients and other team members to foster good communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Follow industry standard applications development techniques and practices
• Represent the company in user groups and business alliances with companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
• Keep current with business intelligence technologies and new technologies in general
• Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times
• Work closely with your supervisor to set professional goals for yourself and endeavor to reach those goals

• Computer programming education and/or experience
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of IT and business counterparts
• Ability to gather and understand business requirements and translate into IT solutions
• Ability to deal with complex situations and collaborate effectively with local and/or remote personnel in order to provide fast and effective problem resolutions
• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be team-oriented
• Possess excellent organizational skills
• Strong aptitude to learn
• Business savvy

Preferred Skills:
• Entrepreneurial experience
• Leadership experience
• Experience with data modeling for analysis and reporting applications
• Understanding of project lifecycle
• Experience with relational databases and data management tools
