Description

Georgetown University's Office of Advancement seeks a Web Designer. The Web Designer, reporting to the Director of Online Communications, designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software, applications, techniques, and web tools; designs and develops web sites and ensures that the "look and feel" both supports the organizations strategies and facilitates user interaction with the system; creates and develops visually aesthetic and appropriate graphics for the web and maintains usability and accessibility of the Web site; serving as a member of the Advancement team, the Web Designer plays a pivotal role in establishing web guidelines and furthering Advancement’s online presence; supports the organizational strategies and goals by providing a platform for alumni communications that is critical to our long term online strategy. REQUIREMENTS: knowledge of Web-based technologies and usability, 508 accessibility issues, and a thorough knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, PhotoShop, Dreamweaver and other design-related applications.
