I am a third-year English major and I like to edit essays, papers, etc. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my writing, a trait I consider both a blessing and a curse. I'm the kind of person who carries a small red marker around not for graffiti, but in order to correct mistakes on flyers and posters I see around campus. I really can be OCD about the whole thing.

Most of my friends come to me from time to time, asking that I look over essays, papers, articles, applications, and emails. As a writer and sometime journalist, I have an excellent grasp of what a final product ought to look like, and how to help you achieve it while maintaining your own voice. Make no mistake—I will not write your paper for you. I will, however, provide you with several proofreads, constructive criticism, and helpful suggestions to see you through to a successful final product.

Tentative pricing will begin at $2 per page. Documents over ten pages will cost no more than $20, although prices are open to negotiation for any documents over twenty-five pages. If I am given a document with only a few pages, but which needs help making it to a minimum page number that is substantially higher, I will use the final page count at the end of the editing process in order to calculate the price. Payments will be made before the editing process in person with cash or check, or sent by mail.

If you are not satisfied with my work or the grade you receive, I will give you a 75% refund. If for any reason you make a failing grade due to my oversight, you will receive a full refund.

In order to standardize pricing, documents will be formatted as such: double-spaced in size 12 Times New Roman, saved as a Microsoft Word document. I prefer to work through email or in person with a hard copy. If sent through email, I will use the “Comment” feature in Word to make my annotations and suggestions and will reply to you with the new document in an attachment. I try to be flexible, however, and if you’d prefer to cover my suggestions over the phone, that can be arranged as well. I work from a PC, so please make sure your software is compatible, especially if you intend to give me the document on CD or memory stick.

The fee does not include the title page but I will look over bibliographies and footnotes for you. Highly technical documents such as a research paper for an Organic Chemistry course will receive grammatical, syntactical, and aesthetic scrutiny only. I am English major, and even I have limits.

I will proofread your document AS MANY TIMES AS NECESSARY in order to help you achieve your desired final product. Once you pay your fee, I will do my very best to be available to you and to give you quality feedback during the writing process to support you.
